The combination of Peru’s rich biodiversity and unique cultural influences from East Asia & Europe, have made LIMA one of the most exciting gastronomic capitals of the world.

Brothers Gabriel and Jose Luis Gonzalez opened LIMA in Fitzrovia in 2012 as a window to Peru’s emerging gastronomy. They wanted to bring the cuisine’s vibrancy and soul to London. Over a decade later, the LIMA team are privileged to serve the finest Peruvian flavours at LIMA in Fitzrovia, LIMA CANTINA, and here at LIMA SHOREDITCH, located at the Sun Street Hotel.

Located just a short walk from Liverpool Street and Shoreditch High Street rail and tube stations, LIMA SHOREDITCH brings LIMA’s classic dishes alongside new menu creations. The menu offers a modern take on traditional Peruvian cooking with references to Nikkei cuisine and Chifa (a blend of Japanese and Chinese cooking techniques with native Peruvian produce).

                      Excellent service, good food and curious combination of flavors, high quality, perhaps we expected more quantity of food for the amount paid. They gave us presents in the beginning. Christmas day we paid 330£ for 2 adults and 2 children.

                      One of the best culinary experiences we have had in our most recent two week visit to London. This Lima Shoreditch , like the other Lima sites in Fitzrovia and Covent Garden, is simply yet elegantly designed and decorated, in the beautiful five star Sun Street Hotel. The food was outstanding as was the service. Standouts were the gamba and tuna tiradito, the duck croquettes , the homemade bread , the beef saltado and the sea bream. The chocolate dessert was also very good.

                      We were there on a Monday night, it was quiet and had been busier earlier according to the Maitre D'. Not a problem for us as it was nice to be able to relax in some peace and quiet. The Maitre D (unfortunately I can't remember his name) was excellent. Made us feel very welcome and had a nice chat with him at the end. The restaurant itself is accessed from the Sun Hotel entrance (which looks very trendy). The food was very good. We had the bread, Tuna Nikkei Tartare and Ceviche Mixto Nikkei to start. Fresh, well-presented and very tasty. For mains it was the Wagyu Beef Saltado (filling and delicious) and my wife had the salmon, which she really enjoyed. We were quite full after that and shared the Chocolate Mousse, which was a great dark chocolate taste and very satisfying. We didn't have much to drink, I had a local beer (Sun Street I think), very refreshing as was the Limonada. Would definitely consider going again if in the area (about 10 minutes walk from Liverpool Street station).

                      Awesome Peruvian food. Great flavour combos. Friendly service in a lovely dining room. Lunch, at £36 for 3 courses is superb value too.
