Limewater Bistro + Bar offers fine dining for lunch and dinner five days a week. We serve American cuisine with eclectic twists from cuisines around the world, as well as fine wines and whiskies. We are located in the beautiful, historic Glen Willis house that sits right on the Kentucky River. Our private dining rooms are the perfect space for any event: business lunches, bourbon tastings, holiday parties, and rehearsal dinners.     This is a lovely place, sitting on the river as it does. My wife and I dined there for lunch on a Thursday, and really enjoyed the place. The food (shrimp asian salad, and the burger) was tasty and plentiful. The service was excellent, very attentive. We sat outside, and it was just a great experience on a beautiful day.

    This place is a GEM! Fresh, beautifully crafted dishes that are seasonal were incredibly delectable. The atmosphere of the renovated 1812 home is clean but warm with tasteful artist touches. Our server, Latesha was, for a lack of a better word, PERFECT. Her sweet personality blended with her professionalism made for a delightful experience. The homemade chocolate cake was ridiculously delicious and the wine and spirits selection hit just right with us. We will absolutely be back the next time we’re in town and will ask for Latesha!

    My husband and I were dining there for lunch and it was the most welcoming and unusual fair we’ve experienced. The craft cocktails were amazing and the food even better. Each portion was so creative we had to splurge for dessert. They did not miss a step, and additionally, the service was top notch. I would recommend this anytime. I just wish I lived closer.

    Our favorite restaurant. Worth the drive from Louisville. Everything is first rate from, the food, the service, the ambience, the amazing restoration of the historical mansion, to the view of the Kentucky River. Simply Amazing!

    What an amazing find!!!! We chose this because it was close to Buffalo Trace and on Open Table, had no other reasons. It is a refurbished historic home. The design inside and out is lovely. It would be perfect during warmer weather to sit outside to watch the river. The staff were personable and informative. The food was so good and served timely. But the star of the show for our group was a drink they just created….the Crimson Float! Oh my!! I wish we lived closer to make this a regular stop!!

    New favorite in Frankfort. The service was excellent from the moment we walked in with friendly staff and courteous conversation. I love that the menu changes based on the time of year. The chef is top-notch. Great for a romantic date night with beautiful view of the river.

    The staff was not engaging. Never greeted us in a friendly manner, never asked us where we were from, etc. we had a reservation and when we got there, they wanted us to eat at the bar. No, we would not. Food was great but it was not a warm “southern hospitality” atmosphere.
