Our second visit to Limoncello in La Mesa. Love the upscale Italian restaurant in village. Authentic Sicilian staff and cuisine. Very welcoming and enjoyable. We had the arancini which were amazing, Cheese-wheel lobster pasta, and filet mignon. All were prepared very well. Limited, but good and affordable wine list. We will be back again.

The food was delicious! The waiter mixed up our order twice, that was disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful!

I went there with half a dozen friends to celebrate my birthday, and I could not have picked a more lovely location with any more delicious food! It was awesome! The service was spot on, very attentive, and entertaining. Everyone said their dish was wonderful and unique. It is a bit loud, and they could use a little bit more acoustic dampening in the place. But that is a minor thing compared to the overall experience, which was fantastic!

A group of friends and I came here for restaurant week. Everything was great until dinner…. Two of us in the party of 7 ordered the spaghetti carbonara and it was like eating a brick of salt. They were kind enough to take it back and make us a new dish. The second dish was just as salty. We were told we shouldn’t add any shredded cheese and to add lots of black pepper and this would lessen the taste of salt. I think the cooks added way too much salt into the pasta water but maybe made too much of it and didn’t want to take a loss by throwing out the salty pasta.

The waiter was SO GOOD! The food was AMAZING! However, I brought my two adult sons and their girlfriends here to enjoy a nice dinner. I had never met one girlfriend and hadn’t seen one son in over a year. We could not carry on a conversation AT ALL. We tried resorting to reading lips but in the end I SERIOUSLY regretted coming here. What was supposed to be a lovely evening turned into a frustrating and fruitless experience. I tipped the waiter well and didn’t complain to him as this was nothing he had control over and in no way his fault- he was excellent throughout.

Extremely loud due to the architecture. Fish was overdone. Pasta very good. Excellent Lemoncello martinis. Just way too loud. Will eat outside next time.
