                                                                                  Our server was bright and attentive. She made sure that we were happy with our order and poured our sake for us regularly. Food at Lionfish is truly outstanding! We ordered the Carrot Ginger soup made with coconut milk to make it vegan and extra delicious. Then the Brussels Sprouts with Goat Cheese making it memorable. Then the Geisha Roll a vegetarian take on a sushi roll - Wow- so tasty! For dessert, the Yuzu pie rounds out the exceptional dining experience with a tart and sweet finish. This is an absolutely wonderful place to eat in downtown San Diego!

                                                                                  We sat at the bar, the food was great but the service from the bartenders left something to be desired. We had a blonde bartender that made us feel like she found our questions annoying.

Scallops with accompaniments was fabulous.,Peking duck pretty good too. service very good and attentive but place is waaay too noisy for me ( older couple) Definitely hard to talk and there was just 2 of us. Overall I’d definitely go back . The only reason overall was a 4 was because of noise level.

                                                                                  The service was good, as was the ambience, and the noise level was fine. Our meals were pretty good, and quite expensive. While we didn't leave hungry, the portions were on the small size. For the prices, I thought we could have at least gotten a salad, or even some bread at the table. We weren't rushed out, but it seems that this business model is set up for getting guests in and out quickly.
