Located in the heart of Cambridge, opposite the Fitzwilliam Museum, this beautiful gastro-pub boasts historical charm and a delicious menu to complement the surroundings. Dating back 500 years, original features including exposed beams and interconnecting dining rooms are still intact and provide a wonderful setting for guests to enjoy.

The menu boasts expertly prepared gastro-pub style food, made using quality-sourced ingredients including steaks from renowned Scottish butcher John Gilmour, alongside a variety of fresh seafood. Plus a fully stocked bar including a carefully curated wine list and a range of seasonal cocktails.

Our first visit to The Little Rose was for Christmas Day lunch with family and friends. We could not have enjoyed a better experience. We received a warm welcome and the service was perfect. The food was perfectly cooked and delicous. The smoked fish and potato chowderwith cheddar scone was outstanding. The chocolate marquisewas stunning . Generous serving of meat for Christmas lunch. My personal preference is for more vegetables but more are available as side orders. I thoroughly recommend the Little Rose and I verymuch look forward to a return visit .

Disappointing. Came because of good reviews, but it did not match up to them. No local ales was a surprise and a pity, but the food was the big letdown. Over-salted scotch egg, over-cooked chicken kievs, ravioli seemed to have come out of a packet. The menu was simple but promised much more than it delivered. It could and should be executed simply, with good quality, fresh ingredients cooked well. Hopefully it was just a bad day. The service was fine.

The food was delicious and well balanced. The ambience was good, helped by a large Christmas party in the adjacent room. Overall we sat for 2 hours and felt comfortable and unhurried - just what was wanted!

The flat iron steak was very good. Woudl benefit from a side dish in addition just to fries but nice quality and well cooked.
