We dined there as a couple on Christmas Day. They were only serving a 3-course $75pp menu. The course options were varied, and the mussels and squash soup that we ordered to as starters were outstanding! The salmon and strip steak entrees were equally good and perfectly cooked as ordered. We were stuffed and took two different desserts to go. They also exceeded expectations. Our server, Mo, was attentive and knowledgeable. The manager, Leah, was also friendly and very hospitable. After finishing eating, she gave us a full tour of the amazing rooftop bar and dining facilities (closed on holiday). Spectacular!
A big negative are the “extra” fees that appeared on check and were not disclosed on menu. One fee was 2.5% and other 2.25%. The first was to tip “kitchen” and other is still a mystery (maybe credit card usage or other). With the current 7.5% sales tax, the total cost was more than 12%. Because of Mo’s service and it being a holiday, he got a generous tip. I would not do that again as I find these fees as “junk” and insulting given the menu prices. If a restaurant charges these “add-ons,” I will in future reduce the server’s tip in some percentage to offset these fees. It’s time for customers to say “no” to this questionable practice.
