We booked Loa for my birthday believing it was a special restaurant as it makes a reference to Michelin. So we went there with high expectations. Whilst the food is good it's not exceptional. We did enjoy our starters and our dessert but both of us were disappointed by the main course. The chicken was very dry and my seabass portion was very small and had a number of bones in it. Restaurants should never over promise and under deliver. The place is OK for your average meal but I would not put it in the same category of say Tarragon or Temptasian where the experience is always one to remember.

The setting is nice, but the food not so much. We went yesterday and tried many different things. Cocktails from the menu were too sweet for our taste, we reordered 2 mojitos. The rum they use is of very poor quality. The raw fish tasted good, but both me and my wife had stomach/intestinal problems. Food is too "smoked" and oil used for frying is either of very poor quality or had not been changed in a while. Being accustomed to Michelin restaurant and top quality ingredients, I can definitely say that the overall quality of food and condiments was not up to our expectations.

It is an excellent restaurant, a nice choice of dishes which are ideal for sharing. Lovely cocktails too. The service was very attentive and efficient.

We liked LOA, the food was good, the service great. The meals came quickly and overall not that expensive. But the one thing that was really negative was the sound level. The music was so loud that me and my wife were unable to have a normal conversation between the two of us. And we could see two couples at the table next to us struggle as well. We might return in the future, perhaps sitting outside in the summer, but if we were to come back and the music was as loud as yesterday, we would most likely leave because we enjoy talking to each other when we go out for dinner.
