Seating in the Lobby Lounge is currently available on a walk in basis. Register when you arrive at the lobby by seeing our host near the bar area. For more information, please contact the hotel directly at 647-788-8281.

The Lobby Lounge is a destination where art and architecture are emphasized. Guests find themselves in the 90-seat Lobby Lounge – an urban living room – where natural light streams through two-story windows highlighting large scale paintings, sculpture and an Italian handcrafted Fazioli piano set amid furniture vignettes in contemporary dove-grey leather sofas and chairs.

Great experience! Our party thought it was a lot of sweets. We would have preferred a better balance of savoury. The service was excellent.

Incredible attention to detail! I really appreciate the efforts you went through to cater for a halal meal. Genuinely appreciate that, and the impeccable service your staff gave, especially Kadijah (sp?) I will definitely come back to celebrate another occasion. Also, loved the ambience of the lounge, from the fragrance that greets you as you walk in, the live piano music and the friendly and welcoming staff!

The Shangri-La is a beautiful hotel/residence in Toronto. The service was fantastic, gracious servers who are very knowledgeable. Sitting on a couch with a table that’s of a lower height is something we didn’t enjoy/ have never experience for a high tea before. The pianist was lovely but only played for roughly 15 minutes. Our server was fantastic, the poor woman had to lunge each time she served us. While the food was fantastic $300+ for high tea is steep in comparison to other high teas such as the King Edward. I would recommend trying this once but it sue to the price it wouldn’t be a repeat, it’s also unfortunate you can’t purchase their decadent teas.

I recently had the pleasure of indulging in the high tea experience at Shangri-La, and it was nothing short of exquisite. From the moment I stepped into the elegant setting, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of sophistication and warmth. The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable about the tea selection and made thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences. The presentation of the high tea itself was a work of art; each tier of the stand was beautifully arranged with a delightful assortment of finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries. The highlight was undoubtedly the selection of pastries, each offering a unique flavor and a feast for the eyes. The tea selection was extensive, featuring both classic and unique blends. I opted for a floral tea that was fragrant and refreshing, perfectly complementing the sweet and savory treats. Overall, the high tea at Shangri-La is a delightful escape, ideal for celebrating special occasions or simply enjoying a luxurious afternoon. I can’t recommend it highly enough—it's an experience that lingers long after the last sip! I will be coming back 10000%

The salmon poke bowl was one of the best things I have ever tasted and went well with Beijing Goes Green. My guests, including a Member of Parliament, loved the green tea and house blend. They gave me a private dining room to make a Zoom call before the guests arrived as the piano was being played. It is the Shangri La so it will be pricey but the ambience, atmosphere and quality of the food and non-alcoholic libations (for me and others) make this one of the best dining experiences in the city.

Me and 6 other women unfortunately came during the TIFF menu. It was all of our first time participating in afternoon tea and it left us thinking that it looks like a better experience online. The TIFF themed variety wasn’t very good. We’re not very interested in eating corndogs with our tea but to each their own I guess. Maybe their regular menu is better but whatever we had was definitely not worth the price. Service was great and the hotel is gorgeous but this menu left us very disappointed.

Everything was set up lovely. The staff were very kind but the service overall was pretty slow. We got to our reservation on time & it took almost 20 min for someone to come greet us & offer us drinks. Then we had to wait about another half an hour to get our high-tea service started. Once the food arrived I noticed they did not include my preference request. The hotel called me about 2-days prior to check for any allergies & preferences. I kindly asked for no pork for myself & if they could switch it with another vegetarian option, they said it wouldn’t be a problem. So I brought it up to the waitress once she went over the food descriptions & reminded her that I do not eat pork & she said she would bring out some other options. I could only eat a few of the items & the waitress never ended up bringing my substitution.
