Locanda del Melo opened in June 2006 with the purpose of bringing to London our 25 years of unique experience in the Italian food industry.
Thus, we personally select and import only the finest quality products from small farms and producers throughout Italy. This ensures that our customers taste varied produce that is of the highest possible quality.

    All dishes were homemade from scratch, tasted delicious and were beautifully presented. We had the special of the day, a most wonderful steak, cooked to perfection, piled high on top of roasted potatoes. The fennel sausage risotto was also to die for, as was the pear pastry tart with ice cream. Service was helpful and friendly, this is a great local Italian restaurant and worth hunting out if you are in the London Bridge area.

    noise level depend of the clients. Very Kind restaurant. Good and traditional food. A small place of Italy /Sicilia in London. We enjoyed our diner.

    We had a great italian meal here and service was very friendly. Small restaurant with wooden tables and some high-chair window seats plus small deli.

    My go-to authentic Italian restaurant in London is. The food and wine are amazing, and ask away for recommendations for wine to accompany the food! The ambience is warm and intimate, a good place for a date dinner or a heartfelt dinner with close friends.

    Some fussy friends who eat out a lot had recommended this as a favourite option, and I could quite see why. Delicious, authentic Italian food (an excellent frittura mista followed by home-made pasta with a beautifully flavoured sauce) and a half-litre of good Sicilian wine for what, by the standards of the Bermonssey Street neighbourhood, are very reasonable prices. It was full of people enjoying themselves and chatting happily, and no wonder. The only problem may be how to get in, as it is small (but they do manage to use the space to maximum effect). I feel stupid for not having been before - we live round the corner and have quite often visited the deli that runs in the daytime -- but will certainly be back!
