    Always exceptional! I love the ambiance of this restaurant. It feels like I am actually in Japan. The food is perfect every time, especially the tartare. The drinks never disappoint either. Thank you for being part of the Calgary restaurant scene.

    I was excited to return back to their happy hour. A little awkward though, after we placed or order, a lady came up to us and said “I noticed you haven’t placed your order and just wanted to mention that the reservation would be cut early at 6pm so you will want to place your order soon” and then we said we weren’t told about the shorten time we are expected to leave by but also already placed our order and then she got a little embarrassed and left. At 6pm we were asked by another lady if we wanted dessert but we said we actually didn’t have time to eat dessert because we were told to leave the reservation by 6pm. She said she would go check and then later came back with the bills 615 and came with the machine to pay around 620 and we left at 630pm. It seemed like the leaving early and urgency to order wasn’t necessary but we ended up staying late waiting for them and they no longer pushed us out but also there were other empty tables to choose from so it may have been a mistake or something

    The food was outstanding and drinks were amazing! Kitchen is super quick and the entire atmosphere is so comforting. The hand rolls are to die for and so easy to eat. The level of communication and presence at the table was poor. I would have loved to order much more from Quinn, however, we sat waiting for too long during our seating to enjoy more. I would have loved to address this in person, our table truly just was not touched many times during service by anyone at all. Everything else was outstanding!

    Delicious food and cocktails. The homemade lemon soda is so good. The miso cucumbers are also very good. Everything is fantastic.

    Was a great late night out. $10 cocktails after 9pm is the perfect way to end a day. Tried basically every hand roll on the menu and loved all of them. Quinn was lovely and very attentive, without being intrusive. Will return again for daytime happy hour in the future.
