Lost Watering Hole, The Lancefield Brewery was born from a tiny idea two mates from Lancefield had one day whilst having a beer… “Let’s open a brewery!” They never expected that one day, several years later, Lost Watering Hole, The Lancefield Brewery would become the special place it is today. It all began in 1888, when Henry Lindsay bought the former flour mill in Lancefield and converted it into a brewery (God bless him…). Lindsay trademarked the name ‘The Trent Brewery’ and began producing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. In the years that followed, the brewery changed hands many times, continuing to trade until early 1898, when it seems both the building and equipment were put up for auction, although it did not find a buyer. Sadly, a mysterious fire gutted the building the night after the auction, signalling its closure. Gladly, our brewery is lost no more… Today, we are proud to welcome you and your friends to Lancefield’s brewery, Lost Watering Hole.

    The Brewery was a great place to meet. The food was freshly cooked and a great price. The air con was on and it was cold but I asked them to turn it off and they did, this made it a pleasant ambient temperature to sit in. The winecwas expensive I thought, even the house wine. Maybe an option for a lesser priced wine would be good so that people can enjoy more than 1 glass.

    Great range of house brewed beers on tap and a selection of light meals, plus a few burgers and pizzas. So good to see the actual brewery in the same building, literally behind the bar!

    We had a group of 25 celebrating Christmas. The staff were all effecient and courteous and very helpful. It was an excellent venue to celebrate at and all the group just loved it.

    We loved this place! It was easy to book and although they had some big groups there , we also had a party of 15, we were served quickly. The other great thong is actually going up and placing and paying for your order which meant no splitting of the bill. The food was great and there was varied menu to choose from
