Chef Tavis’s Brussels sprouts, fried chicken tacos and loaded tots alongside Michael Henry's unique specialty wine flights are just a few of our most talked about food and drinks. Was our first time trying Louvino. For a $170 NYE experience meal, we were pretty disappointed. Service was not on par with the price tag. We ended up getting our 3rd course before our 2nd course. Our server never visited us until the end of the meal, at which point we also got the wrong desserts. Not super picky on service as we’re both ex-servers but we’ve gotten better service at Bdubbs. Just a bad NYE experience for the price.

There were many mishaps during the New Year's Eve dinner service. Neither the food nor the service were what I'm accustomed to at this restaurant.

On New Year's Eve my wife went to Louvino for their four course pre fixe dinner. We both enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip with the house made chips. The dip had a nice consistency and was just the right amount for our appetizer. For our second course, my wife chose the butternut squash bisque. She said the bisque was very tasty. I had the baby kale salad with black eyed peas and country ham. The crisp pieces of ham contrasted well with the tender kale salad. My wife chose the salmon with the farro quinoa pilaf and butternut squash pruee. The salmon was done to her liking. I sampled a bite and it was well seasoned and very pleasing. She said that that the quinoa pilaf did not have much taste, and it was a little disappointing. I had the beef tenderloin with the garlic mased potatoes, broccolini and whole grain mustard demi-glace. My steak was cooked as I ordered it (medium rare), it was served at just the right temperature. The potatoes was nice accompaniment. The whole grain mustard demi-glace was rich and dark. It really made the meal for me. I really enjoyed the way that the demi-glace went with the steak and the potatoes. For dessert we had very nice serviing of flourless chocolate cake with with whipped cream and raspberries. Itwas a wonderful way to end our meal. Our server Mary was helpful, courteous, and professional. I did not feel rushed at all with our meal. The place was quiet, and my wife and I could easily carry on a conversation even with others seated near us. We were able to finish our meal and still make the concert we planned to attend following dinner. I would definitely go back again for another dinner at this restaurant.

We expected the vibe to be a bit more intimate and formal, it was a lot more casual than expected. It wasn’t busy when we arrived yet it seemed to take quite some time to get our food and drinks. We debated leaving after the wine flight but thought let’s stay. We ordered the bacon wrapped dates - not recommended. We love bacon wrapped dates but these ones were not good. Ordered the smash burger which was not bad, and the spicy chicken sandwich - also not recommended. The chicken was so overdone it was barely chewable and even hard to cut with the steak knife! It was also a massive piece of chicken and hard to eat. Fries were really good though! In general, it’s better than a chain restaurant but we probably wouldn’t choose to go again. Worth a try though, maybe you’ll enjoy more than we did!

Our table ordered the baked brie, chicken fried tacos, the salmon, shrimp & mushroom risotto, a caesar salad and the steak & frites.... everything was AMAZING!!!! Our server was very sweet, answered all of our questions, and took great care of us. I've been here for both brunch and dinner multiple times and I absolutely love Louvino!!
