The land Lowertown Brewery was built on has been home to locally made beer for over 150 years! It used to be home to the Commercial Hotel Tavern, built in 1837, making it the oldest bar in the Ottawa area at the time. While the Tavern burned to the ground in 1982, its legacy lives on in the Lowertown community.

We offer retail beer from our Brewtique from 11:00am to 11:00pm

The beers are good, small selection but something for everyone. The food is hit or miss, the pulled pork sandwich and kettle chips were great but their brisket sandwich was very small and bland, also fatty so not great cuts of meat. The server never came to take our dirty dishes off the table. We requested a booth in the reservation notes and were not given one…On a Monday night so not overly busy. Overall not the best experience.

Very nice evening, the waitress was professionnal and attentive to our need The ambiance (Oktoberfest music group playing) was absolutely entertaining. The food is OK but very greassy. It was a special menu for that evening.... I recommend this restaurant Chantal

Excellente ambiance. Les arcades et la terrasses sont vraiment très bien. En plein cœur du marché By, c’est un bon stop.

The food was cold and tasteless. Waited for a waitress for a long time to come, so I can tell her. waited for a long time and when it came back it wasn’t warm again. Seemed like leftovers

Unfortunately was not a great experience! We waited 45 minutes after placing our order for the food to arrive. We didn't mind really as we were having great conversation and we understand that things don't always arrive quickly so this part didn't bother us at all. But when our food finally did arrive the disappointment set in. The food came cold. All 4 of our diners cane very cold. Can you imagine eating cold hamburger and fries or nachos. The cheese wouldn’t even melt on the nachos, it was literally globbed on. The brisket was also cold but less bad to eat cold. I am hoping this was just an off day at the the restaurant! None the less it was my first and last time spending my money there!!
