   This was our first dinner at Lume. It was late so the restaurant was quiet. The food was delicious. We had the steak and sea bass (special) and our server (Alfredo) was extremely helpful as I navigated the menu as a diner with celiac. More than once he consulted with the chef to confirm my menu options. We will definitely return. Great to have a new option in the neighborhood.

   First, the food was great. BUT the service was disappointing! After stopping in to ask for a certain table due to a hearing impairment, and calling to confirm the request, they tried to seat us in the middle of a crowded banquette. Reluctantly, they changed the table to a much more suitable one. Then the 4 of us were early and they refused to let us have a drink at the bar before being seated. The cocktails at $18 were 1/2 full! They tried to rush our meal, trying to pick up our appetizers before we we had finished them. At times, the servers were all over us, next no where to be found. Being over 40 years old, we felt unwelcome at times. Love the location in our ‘hood, lovely ambiance. Probably, we will not go back anytime soon. Wish I had a better review.

   Amazing dinner and service, the restaurant is located in a beautiful part of town and very easy to get to on the subway.

   A cozy spot to catch up with friends on a cold winter’s day. The sea salt & rosemary focaccia was delicious. I’ll be coming back for more.

   The service was disappointing. Our server appeared much friendlier and more attentive to other tables than ours. Additionally, my friend noticed that the host offered us bar or window seating, even though we had reserved a table and it was clear that tables would be available soon. Overall, it felt like an unwelcoming experience. Food was great though! Thank you anyways. x
