One of the nicest meals out we have had in a long time. Food was absolutely delicious with perfect portion sizes. Staff were lovely, very attentive without being intrusive. Thoroughly recommend and we will definitely be going back.

Another excellent meal at the Hitchin Branch this evening. The food was great, the service first class and the restaurant was nicely busy without being overcrowded. Thank you very much.

Always fantastic staff and a warm welcome here. Service exceptional as always with a cosy and inviting atmosphere. Only slight downside (and of no fault of the restaurant) was a gentleman on the adjacent table who seemed incapable of controlling the volume of his voice, and could even be heard from upstairs! (lol). Thanks again for a wonderful dinner.

Today was the first time I’ve been disappointed at Lussmans. The restaurant was cold, with a cold blast when the door opened, we were seated in the tiled area. I ordered lamb shoulder but received lamb shank, it was slightly overcooked. The Posset for dessert was more liquid than I’d expect. As I was there with friends I didn’t want to complain as I knew I could give feedback. Hopefully my next visit will be more enjoyable.

The food and service are always very good The staff are exceptional and always engage in a positive way. Will be returning in a couple of weeks. My local go to for eating out

Had to ask for fixed menu choices. These were very limited so we ordered off main. Lamb dish arrived as lamb shank & not as described on the menu. Food served was good & tasty but teak arrived barely warm but was offered to replace it. Service was quite slow to take food order. We have never been disappointed with our visits to Lussmans before.

Lussmanns is the best restaurant in Hitchin. If you have a special occasion or just fancy treating yourselves it’s the place to go. Knowledgeable attentive wait staff, lovely wines, quiet by busy ambience with a seasonally changing menu with intriguing and delicious dishes. New visitors to Hitchin will love the location - on the ancient Sun Street.
