Just off the High Street, Lussmanns St Albans is situated next to the magnificent 11th-century Cathedral and Abbey Church and overlooks the Vintry Gardens. Our light and spacious modern restaurant occupies three floors, with an intimate private dining area. We are within walking distance of Verulamium Park, with its Roman remains, and close to the bustling city centre and boutique shops.

Thoroughly enjoyable! We had the two course set menu for about £20. Plenty of choice. I had the Spiced Lamb Flatbread which was delicious followed by the Plum Crumble with Ice Cream. The hazelnuts in the crumble mix were lovely!

Everything was excellent!! Beyond excellent. The chestnut mushroom soup was amazing and the Hake with the parmentier potatoes was out of this world.

There were four of us and we all raved about our meal and the great service. All the fish dishes were superb and the mushroom soup to start was amazing. All the staff were very knowledgeable about allergies. One member of our party can't have gluten or dairy and the restaurant offered plenty of choices. All in all a great restaurant

Lovely meal to celebrate a birthday. The service is superb, the food was delicious and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

The staff were friendly and our waitress in particular was helpful and insightful when making food and wine choices. Great value for value when selecting the set menu. Would definitely recommend and certainly visit again.

Rather expensive at 23quid for a fish ball or a Shepard pie. The wine was absurdly priced high for the quality as well. The house was 7 quid. The music was low and not too dusturbing, good lighting. Excellent service. The spicing was a bit bland. Good presentation. The veg was delicious. 65 quid for 2 mains and a veg side. No alcohol. Tap water. Expensive.
