Welcome to MACELLAIO RC FITZROVIA, kingdom of the Italian Fassona beef and the first butchery-restaurant opened in London.

We offer only products of excellence from the best Italian companies such as Fassona beef, charcuterie, delicious cheeses and a quite extensive selection of Italian wines. When selecting them, we want to praise not only the product itself but -above all- the work of the artisans workers that are behind them.
The beef selection takes place from small farms located between Monforte d'Alba, Serralunga, Roddi and Alba, where each animal is treated with respect.

And our façon d-être, of course, the typical Italian way: a warm familiar greeting the willingness to provide the best service, like when entering in an old Trattorie of 'Bel Paese'…

It was not open. Despite Open Table taking my booking and even asking me to confirm my attendance the night before, which I did. At no time did I get any notice that it would be in darkness. So for a birthday meal for 6, we had a panic scrabble around to find somewhere else that could take us. Never again.

Some of the best meat I ate! Wine list is not great. No great selection on £30-£50 wine. We asked for a >£100 wine, they decantered only because we asked and they didn’t even let us taste it. Just straight into the decanter and on the table as if it was a cheap house wine. Waiter didn’t even pour it in the glasses! Generally, we found the food amazing but wine list and service needs improvement. A place like this should have a proper wine expert, especially because the wine list doesn’t start cheap .

Best meat in long time, cooked to perfection. Very nice staff that looked after us! The battuta was superb and the Fiorentina 1.2 kg just amazing and so tender. Very nice dinner.

Produce was great and fresh, however, staff wasn’t very friendly and our waitress didn’t know the difference between starters and mains that brought our steaks as the starters and when told that it wasn’t she wasn’t very happy about it. Our steaks got put on the side and then re brought to us upon finishing the starters. It was cold, chewy. Wine overpriced.
