   Service was good, but portions really small and very lazy at times. The chorizo was literally a single sausage cut up with some onions.

   My partner and I had a mixed experience at Maiz Mexican. The food was flavorful and priced appropriately for its authenticity, though we felt the portions could be more generous. Our only real concern was the seating, we were placed right next to the area where the wait staff waited which made us feel a bit watched. Despite this, we appreciated the effort put into the dishes and the overall atmosphere. Might visit again and hopefully get a more comfortable spot.

   Interesting experience and we tried some foods we never tried before, which is what were were hoping for. But the place is so loud you can’t hear each other speak, playlist wasn’t fun or modern, the corn soup entree and the icy pole for dessert were the only saving graces. Sadly the rest of the meal lacked flavour and didn’t excite us to keep going back for more. Probably won’t go back.

   Best Mexican food I think I’ve ever had in Sydney, and fabulous cocktails. Waitstaff were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, without making you feel like you had to rush.

   We have an excellent dinner at Maiz. The margaritas were really good, all the dishes were authentic and tasted delicious. The standout dish was the pulpo, it was so tender and the dish had great flavour combinations. The dessert was the only dish we didn't rave about, it tasted like a granola bar with some strawberries and yogurt. Maybe it was an off night! maybe we didn't choose well? It wouldn't stop me from returning though. The customer service was great, and all in all, a lovely evening at reasonable prices.

    Amazing delicious unique Mexican food. Highly recommend this place for dinner, and although it is not a cheap feed, you will not be disappointed! Only drawback is that it was a bit noisy bit this didn't diminish the quality of our dining experience.
