   Came here for my partner’s birthday , mama por dios really showed out for us we got a private room for a party of 9 and once they had a table for us outside they asked if we wanted to stay or go out and loved how they gave us the option and were communicating, the party had a blast , thanks so much for our first time at mama por dios .

   It is quite an experience. If you enjoy high energy and loud music, this is the place. The service was incredible and we all enjoyed our meals from start to finish.

   We've been coming here since they opened and have told many people that they need to come to Mama Por Dios....especially for the Puerto Nuevo Lobster! The one negative was that the music was always played at such high volume that you can't have a conversation with the people at your table....even on a Sunday at 5pm. But now I'll tell them to stay away after last night's dinner. For some reason, the owner Misael Guerrero decided to totally remodel the concept of the restaurant. It used to be very colorful and the employees gave a friendly and lively experience. Now it's drab and the energy just isn't there anymore. Like the old saying goes, if it's not broken, don't fix it. But most importantly, the food quality has really gone downhill. When we come for dinner, we always order the Puerto Nuevo Lobster since they're the only restaurant in LA, Orange and San Bernardino counties that actually served this authentic Baja specialty. But now it's still on the menu but it's no longer really a Puerto Nuevo Lobster....just a baked lobster. The portion was much smaller and the presentation was anything but special. The first photo is how they serve it now and the second is the one how they used to serve it. And the side plate of rice and beans were served stone cold. The killer part is that it's no longer prepared in the Puerto Nuevo style, and ours was over baked and tough. If you've ever been down to the fishing village that is Puerto Nuevo, you'll know that they deep fry the lobster and then finish it on the grill. As extremely disappointed as I was, my wife knew it and made me promise not to ask for the manager to ask them why it's different and why it was overcooked. I used to finish all of the first photo but couldn't get past half of this new one. Considering that we just spent over $250 for two people for two lobsters, three margaritas and guacamole which is absurd, at least serve properly prepared food and I'll gladly pay that much.

   The service was great and the food was good BUT it was sooo loud that we couldn’t have a conversation at our table and that was frustrating

   Everything was perfected. Food, music and service was on point. Prices for Everything in the menu are very reasonable. Always love coming back.
