Superior local and seasonal ingredients distinguish our Italian cuisine. Our menu is updated daily to reflect market changes. Our setting is historical and unique. Five elegant dining rooms ( most with views of the city) are tucked throughout an antique brick townhouse overlooking North Square in the heart of Boston's North End neighborhood.

Amazing restaurant in an old historic home. Atmosphere is great and staff is courteous. All dishes consumed by my party were amazing. I strongly recommend the ossobuco with saffron risotto!

Mamma Maria has long been one of my favorite stops when visiting Boston. The food and service continue to excel consistently. My wife is thrilled that she able to have a gluten free pasta option that does not compromise on texture or taste. The food and wine menus offer a variety of interesting options for the rest of us as well. Finally, the service and ambience combine to create a warm and inviting experience that complements the food perfectly.

When it comes to an authentic Italian dining experience, it just doesn't get better than Mama Maria. From the moment we were greeted to the moment when we left, we were treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. Our server was simply amazing. The ambience, vibe and decor of the restaurant were top drawer. I love the fact that patrons' are seated with beautiful Royal Dalton plates with an olive motif. Such class. Of course, these are not the plates that patrons' eat from, and they are removed before the first course. We found the food to be authentic, and in fact, the best that Boston, or even New York for that matter, has to offer. The olives were amazing! The salads were fresh and delicious. Taking a bite of the Lobster Agnolotti Pasta was an explosion of flavor, and a pure joy. The Osso Buco with risotto was simply delectable. I do recommend that broccoli rabe is ordered as a side. The wine list is impressive. There were two of us, and we rarely drink an entire bottle of wine with dinner. Fear not. Mama Maria's offers just about the best 1/2 bottle selection that I have ever seen. For instance, we enjoyed our meal with 375ml of a high-end Brunello di Montalcino. We wanted something lite to finish our meal, so our server recommended the panna cotta along with Avera and Montenegro. What a fabulous way to end our evening. Two thumbs way up!!!

Amazing experience. Great food, server was awesome, and ambiance was lovely. Michelin star level food truly some of the best Italian food we have had.
