Hawaii branch of Michelin Tokyo selected restaurant Margotto e Baciare, Winner of the Best Restaurant in Hawaii by USA Today, the first and only Krug ambassador, truffle centric French/Italian/Japanese fusion fine dining.
Chef Kenta Kayama has been trained under the best chefs in Japan, Mr.Kanda who keeps 3 stars Michelin for the whole time Michelin has been published in Japan.
We opened our door in Tokyo in 2014 and became known as the best place for truffle and old world wine. We serve fresh seasonal truffles from all over the world throughout the year, Italian Alba white truffle to French Perigord black truffle, Tasmanian black etc.
As being one of only 112 Krug ambassador chef, we have almost every bottles of Krug for you, along with many selection of old world wines. Working with Hawaii's first master sommelier Chuck Furuya, we also have premium wine pairing and monthly wine events.

    A casual Ohana Sunday Dinner for Kama'aina is available of Sundays in the VIP room. The three course dinner available each sunday will feature shareable plates of a monthly rotating salad and pasta dish, along with a main course. The group minimum is 4 people, with a total capacity of 16 people per seating. The inaugural menu is available for $60 plus tax per person.

    My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience celebrating my birthday. We had the tasting menu and enjoyed all the dishes. The mix of French cuisine with Japanese influence matched very well. The wines on the list I thought were marked up at a reasonable level. We will make this one of our places we visit regularly.

    The perfect Date Night Dinner with Caviar Egg, Cheesy Mashed Potatoes with Foie Gras, Pasta Bolognese, Cacio Pepe with Truffles plus some delicious French wine. Love this place!

    I don’t normally write reviews. But I feel like I have to for a “fine-dine” experience as this was suppose to be. Went here for valentines dinner. Started on time at 6:30pm. The service with workers are great. However the food time is terrible. We didn’t end our meal until 9:00pm and that wasn’t by choice. The dishes took so long to come out. What’s more ridiculous is that a table that got sat next to us at 7:00 ended up finishing the same time as us. Their main course dish actually came out first before ours. The worst part is the pre fixe menu item. One of their dishes which came at the end was just a bowl of rice with a raw egg and shaved truffle. They didn’t even ask me if I wanted the shave truffle on it they just assumed and shaved the entire truffle in both of our rice bowls which was JUST RICE AND RAW EGG. I couldn’t believe this was a fine dine menu with that on it. The bill came out to $675. I still tipped 20% respectfully for the staff. I don’t ever feel like this. But this experience felt like a scam. The workers are fine. But that menu and food time is what really killed this entire experience.

    Wonderful servers and amazing food. I still think about the risotto and the duck till this day. The whole tasting menu experience was phenomenal this was my second time trying it and it has gotten better. The seasoning was spot on, and the wait staff executed flawlessly. The A5 wagyu tartare was so good it was my first time ever trying a tartare, the flavors were composed beautifully. They do the small things amazingly well.
