This traditional restaurant opened its doors in 2009 as a tribute to our grandmother Maria Corona, born in Mexico City in 1917. The history of the Corona family is extremely interesting, dates from the time of the General Ramon Corona who, during the French intervention played a fundamental role in the fall of the Emperor Maximilian. This restaurant is the guardian of the traditional techniques of mestizo cuisine, with flavors and recipes dating back to the times of the Mexican Independence until the beginning of the twentieth century. Dedicated to our grandmother Maria Corona born in 1916 in Mexico City, here you will find her traditional recipes along with her cooking secrets as they’ve been handed down from generation to generation. Everything is done in the purest of Mexican Cooking Traditions. Located in the heart of downtown San Lucas with indoor and patio seating Live dinner music nightly from 7 to 10 pm. The food here is fantastic, this was our second visit. As it was Christmas, there was a fun and lively stage show with entertainers and dancers. The kitchen seemed to have some issues and it took quite a while to get our appetizers and food. But it was worth the wait. Margaritas are spectacular! Table side guacamole and queso fundido are worth getting as well.

We had a great experience overall and will be back! We were here for Christmas dinner with a reservation and they just weren't staffed enough to handle the amount of folks dining. Just to get drinks took 25 minutes. Also, there was a couple letting their young children run around and one threw a toy car across that just barely missed my husband's head and no one said anything to them (this was going on for 40+ min). The entertainment was super fun, our waiter was very friendly and apologetic about the wait and the food was amazing. We will absolutely be back but maybe not on a holiday.

The ambiance is beautiful. Drinks are always good. Just a little slow in getting the first drink. Came with our food order. The show was impressive and enjoyable. Would highly recommend.

Local selections were very good - great signature cocktails. Wonderful ambiance and entertainment. Food was good except for the filet, but our waiter was very glad to hear our feedback. Was cooked to perfection, just a little tough for a filet. Shrimp with sauces were superb! Great local experience.

It was incredible as always but there was a large table of loud Americans whose noise prohibited us from hearing the singer.

Loved our dinner experience at Maria Corona this year! We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed a fantastic show featuring dancers and a great juggler. Food was outstanding!

The meal was wonderful and the service was excellent. The cheese fondue is to die for and worth the trip alone. The entertainment was outstanding. The singer was fully into his role and gave it his all for the evening. Highly recommend dining here. I have been in and out for over 20 years and every time it's been a great experience.

We had a wonderful time on my husband’s birthday with our adult children and grandchildren. The atmosphere is so lovely and fun. Carlos and his team took amazing, personalized care of us and made the evening so special. And the food!! We had the table side guacamole, and the cheese fondue. Totally delicious. Salads were excellent, especially the one with the hibiscus dressing. My husband and I shared the mole festival which came with five different kinds of Mole, lamb, chicken and pork. Each mole was completely delicious in its own way. My daughter had the table side shrimp, which she loved. We had two Carne Asada and a Carnitas. And then for dessert, they brought my husband chocolate cake with Horchata ice cream, and churros for the table. Delicious!!! All the while, we had a man singing. He was so sweet and accommodating with the little girls who wanted to be part of it. I can’t say enough about this place. We will be back!
