Mariposa, located at the Mint Museum brings world-to-table dining right to the heart of Uptown Charlotte. Our emphasis is on the communal experience that dining out with friends, old and new, should be. We welcome you to join us for an experience centered around genuine hospitality, care, and the passion to cultivate the feeling of community, fulfillment, and growth. Owner Jill Marcus shares “At Mariposa, we bring many cultures together around the table and provide a global experience right here in Charlotte”.

Offering lunch Tuesday-Friday, dinner Tuesday-Saturday, and a bustling brunch on Saturday and Sunday, the culinary team led by Chef Kinsler Josaime offers delicious food and exceptional service. Book your table at this locally owned gem for a culinary experience that spans across the world.

    Main course was paella at $44. Disappointing and overpriced. Much better in Charlotte for less. Whipped ricotta was good as was the service.

    were continuously asked to leave our table by 6:30. Very embarrassing since our guests arrived late and were only allowed to order 1 drink and to drink it quickly. Guess you see what I mean!

    Santiago, Thank you for your feedback. I apologize that there was a misunderstanding. When you booked your reservation, it was booked for the bar, where 4 spots were reserved for you and your party. We accommodated your request when you arrived to move you to a table. We did inform you that we would be able to accommodate moving you to a table, but that we would need the table by 6:30PM. I do apologize that your guests arrived late and were only able to enjoy one drink, however, we were fully booked and needed to be able to accommodate all reservations for the evening.     Food is ok, I will not say good because I didn’t like how food taste. I wouldn’t go again

    Creative and well done menu options. Portions are fairly small, but the quality made up for the price and the overall experience was fantastic.

    It was beautiful, all of the food was delicious and the service was very friendly and fast. Overall such a romantic experience, they do holidays so well!

    Very nice. Parking and finding it was easy. Everything we ordered was really good especially the dessert (chocolate tres Leche cake) Seating is very open and not very private and the lighting is dim on the tables which could be improved by candles. It was hard for me to read the menu. The only food we got that wasn’t 5 stars was probably the corn fritters which were a bit bitter. We will go back for sure. Maybe during daylight.

    Mariposa at the Mint was the perfect spot to celebrate my birthday! The atmosphere was beautiful, creating a warm and inviting experience. Our server, Rebecca, was absolutely phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and eager to make our evening special. She even took pictures for us and provided excellent food and drink recommendations. Even on a quieter Tuesday evening, the service was top-notch. I can’t wait to come back and try their brunch!
