Discovering Italy by way of La Jolla, Marisi focuses on Italian hearth cooking with an emphasis on handmade pastas, fine wine and classic cocktails. The menu celebrates the rich diversity of cuisine from across Italy, fashioned in a time-honored tradition of handmade all day, every day. A dream that lives between the Italian and La Jolla coasts, suspended between tides instead of time — a mood more than a plot.     Food was poor, the snapper inedible. Prosciutto appetizer still had the casing. Drinks were ok. Service was terrible. I would have told server about the meal, but she never returned after it was served. Way over priced.

    It was an overall great experience! The ambiance was unmatched! Service was extraordinary! We were there to celebrate my proposing to my gf, I informed them beforehand and they helped us with some complimentary moscato that was excellent. Ella really helped prepare everything beforehand since I let her know the occasion and they really came thru for us! Would definitely be coming back next time we are in the area! Thank you to all the staff that were there! Fantástico

    Good food and great service. The staff is well trained, gracious and professional. The ambience is lovely. Our dinner was delicious. We will definitely be back.

    It was amazing, from the beginning plates to the main dishes with pasta and the fish was outstanding! I would definitely go there again!

    drinks - coctailes was very good, foos was not. atmosphere is nice , table location is good, no valet parking - very inconvinient

    We sat at the bar, drinks were excellent, service friendly and attentive. Bolognese and Carbonara were delicious, no bread offered with meals. The restaurant charges a 4% surcharge so keep that in mind as you review and pay your tab.

    This is the second time I’ve dined here where the food was not the star of the show. The snapper had bones throughout with very little meat, and the chicken was not moist - and rather rubbery. We used to have killer meals here but it is falling out of our rotation for sure.

    Some food items delicious but my steak was not medium but raw. Daughters pasta dish was bland and the cesesr salad should have a new name! Lemon salad and when we complained, we were told that it is supposed to be to be refreshing and we should have read the description. Never again.

    Very nice ambiance greets you, and strong overhead heaters even would make outdoor dining palatable. The service was very pleasant- Ian was our server who was very accommodating and efficient. The food was a cut above, everything was delicious and well presented, and the wine list was excellent as well, but everything was pricey. Dessert was not a large portion nor amazing- so $16 was overpriced for what you got- but on balance I would definitely recommend this place for a well- paced delicious dinner.
