   Food:1st time eating there. Husband had Lamp chops. I don’t even like lamb but I tried it and it’s was Amazing!!! Wed had Little Gems salad and pizza. Beer and 2 martinis. Service top notch! Every part of team was kind and on top of it! Even The owner makes rounds to tables. Opens wine. Helps servers. I recommend Marlena 1000%

   Our evening at Marlena was spectacular! First visit and won’t be last. All five of us agree food was exceptional. Service outstanding. Ambiance awesome. Already planning our next visit!!!

   What a fun spot! It just had this great vibe right when we walked in. Having the owner stand there greeting us definitely added to it. The decor and general feeling of the restaurant is thoughtful and loved. Okay, now the food! Loved it. We shared a few starters: octopus in a great red sauce, hamachi crudo. The Gem Salad was a gem! We then shared a pizza. It was a bit on the salty side but the crust and savory/sweet combo was nice. We ended the dinner with a Basque Cheesecake. Just the PERFECT sweetness (not too much, but enough). YUMMM. Can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu. Such a special place.

   I had specifically asked for a certain area of the restaurant in my notes on OpenTable and confirmed that request when the restaurant called to confirm the Wednesday prior. Clearly, this did not happen. The timing of the food was off as well with the waitress finally coming over during our salad course and realizing we were missing a salad that we were waiting on.

   Great food. Great !!! Everything on the menu we had was unexpectedly wonderful! I say unexpected, because we hadn’t done very much research before the fact and didn’t know quite what to expect.

   We had the best time on our date night here! The artichoke, cauliflower, and chef special calabrian chili glazed shrimp small plates were all phenomenal. My husband enjoyed the spicy salami pizza and I devoured the gluten free mushroom pizza. Highly recommend the Limonana and house made margaritas from the bar. An all around wonderful experience at Marlena!
