I had the shared starter with my partner helping me. The pork was lovely, I subbed in buttermilk chicken as I don’t like squid. Chicken tender and lovely crunchy coating. The dipping sauces were a great selection and the goats cheese bites were tasty.
Varied drinks menu and cocktail /mocktail options.
My partner had the belly pork but being dairy intolerant had potatoes instead of mash. This was the only downside, other components of the dish were not subbed, so he had pork belly on a slither bed of rocket, bowl of potatoes and some gravy. No veg. He hadn’t clocked you could pay extra for crispy Kale, so felt this was an area that could be improved, other veg options would be good.
I appreciated the touch of a card on the table as it was my birthday and staff weren’t pushy, this did go a bit awry as we didn’t want to look at pudding menus straight away we were left to it, but a bit too long, so pudding and coffee after about 40 mins felt bit late so called it a night. Staff were lovely though and the decor warm and spacious, we weren’t crammed in.
Would like to try a brunch time
