First time that a meal at Marseille was not consistently perfect. May be inevitable on a holiday night. Started with French75 cocktails we had to send back because they were warm and the bubbles were flat. Someone came to tell us the bartender could not remake them because they would come out the same: huh? Claimed they had just opened the champagne: so how could a just-opened cold bottle be both warm and flat?We gave up and ordered a nice bottle of champagne. The $85 Prix Fixe (+mandatory 20% tip) menu had a real range of interesting options. Scallop appetizer and pasta with lobster were up to par. My companion and I both had the halibut entrée, which had a hard, flavorless crust on the slightly overcooked beautiful white fish underneath. Had to drag each forkful of fish through the lemony sauce at the bottom of the plate and my companion said the fish was still dry. Best part of that dish was the broccolini. Crème brulée with berries was up to this restaurant's high standard. Cappucino was great. Service was as warm and professional as ever: these servers and bus staff know not to clear anyone's plate until the table has finished the course. Overall a nice time but when 2 people spend $310 there should be no glitches, even on New Year's Eve.

Enjoyed the oyster happy hour. 6 oysters on the half shell for $9.00! Also had the duck liver mouse… very rich and delicious. For the main course we had the Moules Frites Marinière (mussels) and the Tagine Marseillais (braised lamb shank). Both were very delicious and beautifully prepared. We had the apple tart and the pecan bread pudding for dessert. Bread pudding wins hands down! (We used our Playbill were it said we would get a free dessert with an entree when presenting the Playbill, but our waiter told us, “Just one free dessert per table.” A bit disappointing…. In any case, a wonderful meal, in a wonderful atmosphere. Didn’t feel rushed or crowded.

Cela fesait la 2 ème fois que on y aller la 1ère top la 2 ème nul service plus que médiocre, table réservé pas dispo obliger de attendre au bar que table se libère on a attendu le vin jusqu'à la viande enfin breff pas top

Had another great dinner at Marseille last night. We have dined there many many times & it never disappoints! The service & food are always outstanding. One of our favorite restaurants in NYC

What a great underrated spot in Hells Kitchen. The restaurant is comfortable, not packed in like sardines like most these days. Their service is warm, friendly and efficient. Plenty to choose from on their menu including Branzino, Trout (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) and Salmon if you are looking for fish. They also have wonderful preparations of steak, chicken and duck including a pasta dish.

This is our third annual visit. We love the bistro atmosphere and the food is always wonderful. The menu is a bit limited but the is something for most I would think.
