Massimo's has been a Fremont destination and landmark since opening in 1976. The name Massimo's is not only the middle name of our late founder but also means “great”. The food, service and atmosphere is the passion of owner Bill Rinetti Jr. We strive to create a cuisine that is fresh, seasonal and prepared with great care and also include some of our classical preparations including our Caesar Salad which is made in the dining room. The fare is American with bits of Italian influences. We have been featured on KQED "Check Please Bay Area".

Be sure to save room for one of Massimo's Flaming Desserts that have become one of our signature preparations.

    Join us on Thursday January 30, 2025, at 6:00pm for a Winemakers Dinner with Sunol's Nella Terra Cellars. 5 Course Menu - Grilled Prawns with lemon-herb Beurre Blanc (paired with 2023 Sauvignon Blanc), Lobster Bisque (paired with 2022 Chardonnay), Wild Mushroom and Truffle Risotto (paired with 2021 Pinot Noir, Braised Beef Short Ribs (paired with 2022 Rubertino Red), Limoncello Mascarpone Cake (paired with Sparkling White Wine). $150 per person (Includes tax and service charges) All of these wines will be available for purchase by the case and bottle at a discounted price to take home.

    We go to Massimo's monthly, and always love it. Sunny takes care of us each time, the staff is always attentive, and the food is always gourmet. The decor is lovely and intimate. There is no better place for birthdays: the staff always brings you a card and a fantastic dessert with candles. Come during the holidays and before Feb 8, and recieve a red envelope which contains one of a number of prizes like free meal, free drinks, free appetizers for a year, etc. This is our second year of free appetizers monthly, which is just what we wanted, since we want to come once a month: we take turns treating one another.

    Our reservation was at 8 for a party of 5. We waited 10 minutes after being seated to have our waitress come to the table. We ordered when she came for our drinks because we could tell they were understaffed and the restaurant was fully booked. After 45 minutes we did not have our appetizers and I explained to the waitress how long we were waiting and we had a NYE party to get to. They sent over some free appetizers and additional wait staff, unfortunately it still did not speed up the service. Owner came by and we voiced our concerns. We eventually got our meal and it was delicious! We didn’t have time to eat our dessert so we took it to go. We were there for 2 hours and 15 minutes and late to our party. It wasn’t the waitress fault they were understaffed so we still left a 20 percent tip. I would go back but not on a holiday.

    We LOVE dining at Massimo's Fremont. Consistently delicious and inventive food. Superb cocktails and attentive staff all around. Enjoyed a festive East Coast NYE with 9PM celebration. Thanks to all the staff at Massimo's for a delightful and memorable evening. We will be back!

    Overall the experience was good but it could have been better for a New Years Eve dinner. The crowd was small when we arrived and the wait staff still got orders wrong . It seemed like they were in training. The hostesses were not very friendly either. We will be back but hope this review helps them improve on the service. The food was very good and the restaurant is beautiful

    Old school service is friendly and efficient. On this Saturday evening a singer/guitarist was performing in the lounge, so we enjoyed the music during dinner. Tableside Caesar salad was excellent. Bucatini alla Vodka and New York steak were each served hot and perfectly prepared. Best place in the city to go for that special occasion.

    It was a very nice experience. Great live music by Rolando Morales. The food was very good. I had the Halibit, my wife had the Egg Plant Parmigiana. I also had a nice bowl of Clam Chowder. We also had wine 🍸 cocktails and Cheesecake and Coffee for dessert 🍨. Very tasty indeed. We definitely recommend Massimos 👌

    Service was great, our waitress was very attentive and worked to make sure our needs were met. I have eaten here many times. The food has always been delicious and the portion size ample. It's a nice restaurant, get dressed up and go enjoy.

    We had an amazing Christmas Eve dinner. They were so kind and were able to accommodate our need to add a person to our reservation. We love their fried zucchini and calamari. Their braised short ribs and prime rib were a hit! The staff was awesome and so nice.
