Massimo's has been a Fremont destination and landmark since opening in 1976. The name Massimo's is not only the middle name of our late founder but also means “great”. The food, service and atmosphere is the passion of owner Bill Rinetti Jr. We strive to create a cuisine that is fresh, seasonal and prepared with great care and also include some of our classical preparations including our Caesar Salad which is made in the dining room. The fare is American with bits of Italian influences. We have been featured on KQED "Check Please Bay Area".

Be sure to save room for one of Massimo's Flaming Desserts that have become one of our signature preparations.

    It was one of the worst meals I had in a long time. The food was extremely bland, my party all had the same experience. The Caesar salad was so extremely overdressed that it wasn’t edible. I would not return.

    My parents first came here for their first date over 27 years ago so I decided to take my partner for valentine’s day and we were by far satisfied with our experience. The ambiance was serene, from the table layout to the room lighting. For our 4 course dinner selection, I had the arancini for starters, the Dungeness crab cake for the appetizer , the stuffed chicken breast for my entree, and their sorbet for dessert. My partner ordered their blood orange burrata salad, with the herb crusted branzino for mains. She finished off her meal with their lava cake with raspberry coulis. Paired with our meal we had the tiramisu martini and “The Juliet” signature cocktail. The meal was delicious with the serving sizes exactly enough to satisfy our hunger. Service and staff were amazing and we definitely would recommend this experience.

    Went here for a Valentine’s dinner, and my wife and I were very disappointed. The food tasted like it had been frozen and reheated. I ordered the short ribs, and they were tough and hard to eat.
