Very busy on a Christmas Day. Glad we had reservations. Anyway, I expected more but food was just a little above average.

Seated 15mins after reservation, which was good as it was a crowded Christmas night. Live music. Very loud and energetic atmosphere. Good food, good service. Would definitely recommend.

Christmas Eve… it was excellent. Ordered the lobster tail and 8oz filet and shared it with the broccolini and King crab rice - delicious. It was a wonderful evening.

Granted it was Christmas Eve and I’m thankful the staff were working so families like ours could celebrate at a restaurant I forgot Mastro’s is owned by Tillman Fertita’s restaurant group and living now in Houston where his hq is at…I don’t like the guy But this is a chain restaurant and tastes like a chain restaurant. Only picked it as it was near our hotel but forgot it’s ownership Service very slow Waiter didn’t pour the wine at all In 90 mins, only had drinks and bread service which is charged French onion soup we ordered…they had to create more after we waited so long…so we decided not to wait for it but the kitchen (and one manager came it to tell us the soup was delayed) Should have fired up the steaks and lobster in our order since no soup Waited 30 mins longer Jumbo lobster tail was over cooked (top ) and undercooked (bottom-still fleshy) Scalloped potatoes were very salty Didn’t finish entrees and didn’t complain but waiter did reduce entree cost for the lobster Didn’t stay for comp desserts manager wanted to give due to soup delay It’s a chain…never will go again not to the one in my backyard in Houston

Fair to good experience overall. The experience however, was not what I’ve come to expect or experienced in past visits to locations in Southern CA or Palm Desert. Food: Ok, not great, except for French Onion Soup which was amazing. Setting: felt stuffy with no air conditioning/fresh air circulating. Average decor, didn’t feel as high end as other Mastro’s. Dress Code: strictly NOT enforced. Not sure why a restaurant would make a dress code disclaimer on the website and in a plaque at the entrance of their restaurant for it to be ignored completely. This was not a Mastros 5 Star Experience, would Give it a 3.5.

Good was good, but over priced. Drinks were great and the experience felt luxurious, but still appropriate for kids.

We ordered Oysters Rockefeller, Wagyu beef roll, Lobster Bisque, Lobster Mashed Potatoes and the Porterhouse. Only the bisque was good. Everything else lacked taste.
