We frequent Mastros often and usually have a 10/10 experience. This is our 3rd Christmas Day with them in addition to multiple visits throughout the year. Tonight however fell short. We had to wait 45 minutes for our table because they were behind on all reservations. One of the hostesses was extremely apologetic which we understood it was not her fault, but it was frustrating to feel like we were in the way while waiting and had to spend almost an hour of our Christmas evening and birthday waiting. We were lucky enough to grab a bar seat half way through our wait and the female bartender was less than friendly which added to the frustration of the evening. Once we finally got our table our waitress was sweet and she was trying her best but we did sit for over 30 mins without any interactions while wanting another drink. I write this review with honesty feedback in hopes to improve people experience next year. We do appreciate and thank you for being open and the entire staff for working on the holiday. We definitely will be back, and hope next time we get there service we are use to.

Everything was wonderful, the hostess, waiter, busser, all 10/10. Unfortunately the table next to us had two children on their iPhones on games with the volume 10/10. One of the staff asked the parents if the kids could lower the phone volume and the parents were obnoxious and said absolutely not! Many tables were complaining but the parents were absolute in their resolution to allow everyone else to be put out. Unfortunate. Everything and everyone was wonderful but many tables had their celebration tainted by one family.

Our waitress Val was amazing. So sweet and upbeat. She really made my Christmas dinner with my family great. The food was amazing. Steak that just melts in your mouth. And you can’t forget about the warm Butter cake……there are no words hahaha Also tonight they had live entertainment from a young lady with an incredible voice. Overall Mastros was awesome. For sure coming back very soon.

These review might not be fair, because it was Christmas Day, but the experience could have been so much better than it was. I confirmed my appointment and there was still a delay. The ladies at the front desk desk threw off this attitude of an exclusive club I was lucky to get into rather than a service business greeting a customer. There’s a sign on the wall stating that the dress code was strictly enforced. Maybe it’s a California thing, but there were diners that shouldn’t have been allowed into a baseball game much less a fine dining establishment. Then they sit a barely dressed girl at the next table with a horse of a dog. Of course it had the service dog badge, but come on! I have nothing against true service dogs, but still, when was the last time you had a huge, super furry animal right next to you in a fancy restaurant? It was just weird. The real disappointment was the service. Again maybe it was because it was Christmas Day, but each waiter seemed to have way too many tables. When I asked ours about it he agreed, but at the same time said that was great for him because he was going to make more money. The food itself, besides taking forever, and probably being overpriced, tasted fine. Not sure in the thousand restaurants I’ve eaten in I’ve ever been charged $5 for “bread service”, but, okay. The one in Las Vegas was a thousand times better. I doubt I’d return to this one.

Outstanding experience overall. Great service with lots of smiles. The food is absolutely phenomenal. Very friendly staff as well. The restaurant was packed out the entire visit, but there was no lack of attention. I love that they bring your steak à la carte but then mix and serve the side dishes for you. Upstairs they bring you the cocktails and leave the shaker. It’s a great value because you end up getting twice as much drink for the price! We had the margarita and Grey Goose martini. Wines by the glass are reasonably priced and it’s a generous pour, too. Extensive wines by the bottom menu. I love that it’s easy to get in and out of this establishment, with valet right in front or room for Lyft. It is now our favorite steak place!

This was Christmas Day. One would expect less than stellar service/food, HOWEVER, the service by EVAN was over the top, the food was amazing, and our group of 6 were completely thrilled . The attentive service by staff was greatly appreciated, There are abundant steak restaurants here in Silicon Valley and we have been to many of them. This is now our GO-TO favorite.

The general manager Ian and server Britney saved Christmas for us. The steak was cooked perfectly medium and the portion of the sides were huge. King crab legs are a must!
