We are happy, curious, sometimes sad and we try to convey all this in the dishes we cook, in the cocktails we prepare, in the wines we offer. Our dishes are colourful, irreverent, contrasted in the ingredients, but balanced in taste. We propose the wines that we like, the real ones, those of the winemakers, which change flavour from year to year and are not altered to follow conventional fashions and tastes. We really like education and we dislike formalisms. We are open for lunch, aperitif and dinner. At lunch, the menu changes every week. At dinner, it changes according to the rhythm of the seasons. The wines always change, but they never change.

    Mi sarebbe piaciuto cenare presso Mater Bistrot, ma purtroppo non è stato possibile. Avevo prenotato un tavolo per due persone tramite la piattaforma OpenTable. La prenotazione era stata confermata dal ristorante via e-mail. All’arrivo, la cameriera ci ha informati che non risultava alcuna prenotazione a mio nome. Si sono semplicemente limitati a scusarsi, spiegando che non utilizzavano più il servizio di OpenTable da tempo (nonostante il loro profilo fosse ancora attivo) e che il locale era al completo. Non si sono mostrati disponibili a trovare una soluzione per la serata né hanno offerto alcun gesto di cortesia per una futura prenotazione. Nel complesso, un servizio decisamente scortese.
