Tasteful decor, but for an establishment at this price point (~$50+ per plate) I would expect to not have to walk sideways beside my table to sit; bumping our and our neighbours table in the process. To note, I’m 115 lbs and slender. Further, it was difficult to carry a conversation without raising our voices because there is nothing above the tables to dampen noise. We only ordered mains, and sat for 1 hour before receiving them- despite other tables having been sat and ordering after us, yet, receiving their food before. All in all - underwhelming. The food was decent. However, because the dining experience was unfavourable, we would not return or recommend this restaurant.

Fourth time at Mati. A great place to celebrate life’s victories with friends and family Consistently high quality in ALL categories. Highly recommend. Food and Cocktails were outstanding. Keep up the good work.

It didn’t start off well. We had reservations and was asked to wait for our table for ten minutes or sit at the bar. Only after asking for the manager were we seated at a table that was already available. Not sure why we needed to wait? The waitress and the food were good. But at that price point we would expect the service to be much better.

We came here on our anniversary and it was amazing. The food, service and ambiance is great for any occasion, we will definitely be returning!!

Great first experience. Food was perfect and price were fair. Service was great as well. Recommend sitting at the bar if you're having a date. Just a bit disappointed that no one seems to have any wine knowledge. A restaurant like that should have a sommelier on site providing recommendations. But overall, great wine list.

I had my birthday brunch here, they had a birthday card waiting for me which I found so sweet. The food was amazing. We all enjoyed our meals. The service was good and overall we had a great time.

Great central spot with nice decor. Decent portion sizes but presentation and quality of cooking was surprisingly mediocre at breakfast, e.g. my fried eggs were burnt and what could have been thick and crusty sourdough toast was overly charred. Focussing too much on a food styling photo and video shoot seemingly detracted from the customer experience. The staff was kind but their energy was elsewhere engaged.
