Matonne is five stars all the way! We’re so glad we found this wonderful restaurant! exceptional food,service and worth every penny! We had steak, Lasagna made from fresh pasta and lamb chops. Service was excellent!!

Lovely experience, the food was delicious! The service amazing Cass and Tanya made us feel so welcome and comfortable! Definitely will be back and recommend to our friends

Being recent SF Bay Area transplants (Roseville 2023) - we have had a challenge in finding a good / excellent Italian restaurant. We tried this place just recently (12/21/24). It's an Italian(!) restaurant vs a restaurant that makes Italian inspired dishes. An offshoot restaurant of the original Biba (Sact'o) - it has reinvented itself a bit with a new head chef from SF (James Brush) and pastry chef Penny Sheridan). Everything we had was prepared perfectly. Beet salad, lightly dressed. Gnocchi - light as pillows. Veal marsala - spot on. We passed on dessert, but did see some of them come out and they looked divine. Maybe next time ;-D. Service was attentive, relaxed and not overwhelming. We will certainly go back. Strongly recommend this place.

Always a solid choice- the lasagne is out of this world and so are most of the other courses. This place has gotten better over time. Excellent pick for a great meal.

Mattone's is located in the Sacramento area's Little Italy. We chose to dine in the lounge, as we've done in the past, due to its lively and cozy atmosphere. On a chilly winter night, the ambiance was warm and inviting. After a carriage ride through the Fabulous 40s, we arrived famished. For cocktails, we had the Jeanne Martini, a pleasantly tart concoction, Jack and Coke, a Manhattan, and a beer. We shared pork belly bruschetta and calamari for appetizers, then moved on to beet and Caesar salads, followed by lasagna and steaks. Finally, we indulged in dessert, enjoying chocolate ice cream with mint cookie crumbles, mango sorbet, and cappuccinos. The entire meal was absolutely delicious!

Can always depend on a wonderful total experience at Mattones to celebrate any event! The lounge is a cozy homey place with incredible staff!
