We love this place. We live in the area, and we come to Matt’s for special lunches (dinners are pretty pricey and are fine but not spectacular for the price). The views are iconic. Deviled eggs and the chips and dip can’t be missed. The fishwich is a favorite choice, as is the potato salad as a side. I got the wedge salad with shrimp, and it was generous with shrimp. Great dish… except that next time I order it, I’ll get the dressing on the side. It was significantly over-dressed. That said, I’ll come back over and over because it’s a fantastic spot!

I enjoyed the best seafood chowder of my life looking at the neon pike place market sign with a glass of Sancerre. My lunch guests were amazed with their dishes. Thanks to the kitchen especially for the care. Matt’s is still my favorite restaurant in Seattle.

I live in NYC, when I visit Seattle, Matt’s is a must for my dinner plans. Today I booked lunch, wow, yet again, delicious! Fabulous chowder & halibut sandwich! Our server was so great! Always a special experience I look forward to! Thank you!

Excellent dinner! Yeah, its in the Pike St Market, which can be a whacky place, but they are a standout restaurant. Especially the service; attentive, informative, pleasant & quick. My wife has a NY steak, excellent. I had scallops, which were just a touch overdone (I am a rare seafood kinda guy.) Really well-done cocktails & I had a Loire white with the fish, an outstanding recommendation. It was a busy Thurs yet they were on the ball, coping professionally.

Okay, I will confess: I've eaten here probably ten times and always ordered the Albacore Tuna sandwich, which I think is OUTSTANDING. I just invited my picky friend to join me today. Got him to order the same sandwich. He agrees, it is the best he has ever had. Soup was pretty darn good also. I should try the rest of the menu but can't stop myself from ordering this sandwich. Matt's is the best.
