Located right in downtown Hartford since 1996, Max Downtown continues to add to all that the city has to offer with its legendary service, food and drink selection.     This time the food was salty and its very, very expensive so it should be perfect. Service was very good. We are fairly frequent customers and usually really enjoy the experience. We know it’s expensive but feel it’s worth it. The food was disappointing. The tuna a poivre was salty and the salad was small for 22. Should have had tons of cauliflower not radicchio. Max always has a problem getting the first drink to the table. This time was no exception. No one in the bar and everyone waited 10 minutes for the drink. We will be back…just a little disappointed in Easter.
