Max is an acclaimed Italian restaurant that serves soul satisfying, authentic food with a warm welcome. It originally opened in 2000 in Alphabet City and a few years ago moved to Tribeca. What started as a small place to eat became a many time award winning restaurant and the go to place for consistent high quality food at reasonable prices in an inviting setting.

                                                                    The noise cannot be classified as energetic. It was deafening. Impossible to have a conversation. Might as well have been in a singles bar.

                                                                    We enjoyed several appetizers, our favorite one being the fried olives! We moved on to pasta dishes which were all delicious. The Max’s sauce was flavorful and pasta was perfectly cooked. We tried the gelato and tiramisu for dessert which were great. The service was on point as well! Highly recommend!

                                                                    Our experience was amazing. Such an intimate New York vibe and our waiter was perfect and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. I love this place and would love to come back. I felt like I was on a movie set except the food was better.

                                                                    Very friendly and helpful staff. The food was great in particular the gnocchi which is probably the best I've eaten outside of Italy. I highly recommend it. Max is going onto our frequent rotation list.

                                                                    Pasta was overcooked and over sauced. Under impressive meal. Very limited by the glass wine selection. Not so good.

                                                                    We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner experience. We arrived 15 minutes early, and our table was already prepared and waiting for us. The ambiance was charming, romantic, and the food was exceptional.
