    The happy hour is great here. Very good prices and quality. After happy hour we got a table and the food service was very slow. The lobster bisque is amazing. The food was good but took way too long.

    It was one of those horrible experiences where you spend waaaay too much on food that is not good and you walk away disappointed and angry. Nothing was fresh. I should have stayed home and ate tuna fish.

    Hadn't been here in years but remembered it fondly. Post-Covid the number of restaurants has declined downtown and so, obviously, has the quality. Our party waited far too long for someone to seat us. (We had a reservation) Maybe they were understaffed but the restaurant was not busy. It was half full at best. The server was pleasant enough however we waited too long for our food. That clearly was not his fault but I wouldn't have minded the wait if the food was better quality. Avoid what passes for a Caesar salad. And if you are in the mood for shrimp scampi, go somewhere else. I was served a dry--yes, dry--overly peppered mess. Maybe that's their unique interpretation, but it clearly missed the mark.

    Not a great experience. Service was very slow. We were in no hurry but were there for two hours and forty minutes. Our food came out after several tables seated after us. A second beer took 30 minutes. Second basket of bread also took a very long time. The food was very good but the service was very poor.

    The food was excellent . They seemed understaffed. Our waiter tried his best but food was delayed, he rarely came around, we had to beg for refills of drinks . Service was very subpar. I don’t blame the waiter who tried his best. But it was not worthy of the quality of the restaurant M & S holds itself out to be.

    We have been to the Post Oak locations a few times in the past and were disappointed, but we gave another chance to try the downtown location and still disappointed. No champagne or French wine by the glass. The wine list was totally dominated by California, which I don't like. The menu and food was just average. Not very creative or upscale. We informed our server that we only have an hour to dine due to an event to attend and requested to bring our order as they were ready. The took my request literally, and brought all foods before drinks, but I need drinks before the food. He was a nice server, but he didn't seem to have much commonsense and was very tense. The server was really working hard, but it actually made our dining experience very chaotic.

    Our server was really nice but he forgot to bring out soups that were ordered. They were left on the ticket and I didn’t catch it until I paid and left. Also, one of the people in my party ordered a roasted vegetable bowl and received 2 different entree’s and never came back to check on us. This person doesn’t eat meat and both were served with meat. All in all it was just poor service.
