Offering extraordinarily fresh seafood and tender steaks, McCormick & Schmick’s represents Downtown Cincinnati’s most exceptional dining experience. The restaurant is conveniently located across the street from Fountain Square – a short trip from many of the city’s sporting venues, theatres, and shopping destinations. From fresh seafood and shellfish to Steak and garden fresh salads, our goal is to exceed your dining expectations.

    Food was OK not very hot service was extremely slow. We were there 2 1/2 hours over a half hour to get her first drink. I will not go back and they missed my wife’s order up.

    Service was slow. Kitchen was running slow. Food was not coming out quickly. Then when informed our waiter that we were on a time crunch due to theater tickets there was no sense of urgency. Once our food came, our server dropped the bill within a couple minutes. But, it was another 15 minutes before he came back to our table to pick up the bill and close us out. The food was not up to the quality that we have had in the past. For a kitchen that was struggling to produce food my sides were cold and it felt like our food sat under heat lamps for quite a while. We tend to frequent a handful of restaurants near the theater. This place will be pulled from the rotation for a while due to this experience.

    We went for the first time tonight to celebrate my Husband's Birthday. The place was so clean and beautiful. The service was too notch. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend!

    We went on Thanksgiving and it was quite busy. I think our waiter did his best given the situation. Food and drink were super slow. Took probably 20 minutes just to get bread and maybe 30 to get drinks. Dinner was over an hour. Our waiter was very apologetic for the slow service and didn’t charge us for dessert. We weren’t in a rush but were pretty hungry by the time food arrived. All the food was very good

    The servers were friendly working hard. The food was just ok. The bread was fantastic, hot and full of flavor. There are better places to eat in Cincy. We went for the Thanksgiving dinner and the turkey looked and tasted like lunch meat turkey not a freshly roasted turkey. The sides were good. I ordered the 6oz filet, the flavor was fine but it was a little dry and not tender. My husband said the Bob Evan’s turkey dinner is better.

    I write this as I'm recovering from eating food that I'm allergic to and notified our server about multiple times. Overall, the experience was disappointing. The service was incredibly slow, and our server barely stopped by. One member of our group never got their entree as it had to keep being remade due to errors as other tables got their dishes. The manager tried to make it right, but after two hours we just wanted to go home and I didn't want to suffer in their bathroom after I found ingredients I'm allergic to in my dish. I would not recommend coming here during the holidays, as they are likely short staffed and very little quality control is happening at the management level.

    We don't eat out often. When we do McCormick and Schmicks is our go to for fine dining. The food and service and ambience are exemplary. Our server Skylar was an absolute delight. Skylar prepared special cocktails for us at our table and she made us feel special. Thank you for a lovely day out.
