Located on the picturesque waterfront of the Potomac River, McCormick & Schmick provides stunning views of the river, offers heated outdoor dining and is accessible via water taxi from Old Town, Virginia, and Georgetown, Washington, DC. From fresh seafood and shellfish to Steak and garden fresh salads, our goal is to exceed your dining expectations. As our guest, you will experience culinary excellence at its best. Our menus reflect seafood from the Pacific Rim, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Gulf of Mexico. We also source products from local ranches, farms, and wineries to showcase regionally inspired dishes.

Excellent dinner, salmon was superb, server was excellent. It was a busy night, kitchen was running behind and the noise level higher than average. Still overall a very good evening.

The food and the service was top tier! We didn’t wait long for our food, it was very flavorful and our server was very kind.

Food was spectacular but service was terrible. Never got refills. Had to ask for bread twice and got it during our main course. Plates weren’t cleared before the next course came out. Seems like other guests around us were also having issues.

Very Disappointing visit. I was seated and waiting for my friends, went to the restroom and returned to the waiter clearing our menus and table set-up. Waiter said that he thought that I had gone to the bar. Service was poor, food wasn’t great, they were out of crab and shrimp Rockefeller, old fashion wasn’t good, received incorrect salad, ordered two different types of oysters on the half shell, waiter provided NO guidance on which was which. I do not think that I would return to this location. I assume it was the manager that came by our table to check on our experience, we explained the problems that we encountered and she provided a nonchalant I’m sorry and moved on to the next table!

Service was absolutely terrible me. I had to get my own high chair for my toddler and the wagyu filet we ordered was the equivalent of a sirloin steak, not worth the up charge at all.

Unfortunately, service was not good at all. Had to ask multiple times for refills or to just get napkins and clean silverware. (And it wasn’t busy). Bathroom was very dirty food was average for a very expensive bill.

Our server was phenomenal! Come to find out he was still supposed to be in training, but was thrust onto the floor on a busy Saturday night, right before Christmas, because a couple servers had called in sick. I would have thought he was a regular server and had been there for quite a while! He was that good! I don’t have my receipt and I can’t remember his name, but it started with a “J”, maybe Jamil?
