The menu parallels this classic authenticity, keeping menu selections simple yet unforgettable. Chef Brent Ross handpicks his products, and serves only those that meet his scrupulous standards in quality and taste. Most notable include the dry-aged bone-in ribeye, South African lobster tails, four-cheese macaroni with lobster meat, and turtle gelato pie.

I walked into the restaurant and the concierge on the phone who took her time to have us seated Service was slow unfriendly unwelcoming and my server appeared to lack knowledge of the menu and the restaurant was too dark and very uninviting in the middle of a bright sunny day

Steak was excellent. Overpriced for lunch but really great steaks. Waiter was average. Didn’t check in on us enough. The lobster Mac n Cheese is way overpriced since I didn’t taste any lobster.

This is one of Atlanta's "old guard" where you will be treated like royalty and served incredible quality on the plate. There's a reason the "old guard" chop houses like McKendrick's are still around after the last quarter century in particular -- a dependable fine dining experience where you feel like family is taking care of you and every need you might have. Highly recommend for celebrations or just a fine cut of beef. If the Stone Crab Claws are on special, you may never eat a claw from somewhere else. The meat was tender but that wonderful sweet only fresh and high quality can provide. Can't wait for another reason to bood a table. It is a certainty.

We were very disappointed with the quality of the food. My wife’s steak was cooked properly but was just OK. I had the crab claws special (2 for $78!) and they were just OK. Seems very pricey for the quality and portion. Sides were good. The service was great up until the end when we waited over 20 mins for our check. For a lunch for 2 that cost $189 (without tip) it was quite sad. It was not anywhere close to the level of past visits. We may not go back.

McKendrick’s is a favorite restaurant of mine particularly when having a meal with friends or colleagues. Professional service start to finish and delicious food.

Business meal. Excellent service. We all had steaks filet mignon and they were cooked to perfection. All sides were delicious and there was plenty to share. Very good wine list.

Gail and I have been to lots of Steak houses in Atlanta. McKendrick's surpasses all of them. We were warmly greeted by our server Allison. If there ever was a school on how to be a fantastic server, Allison should be the head teacher. She was personable, funny, extremely polite and just everything you would want in a server, except one thing. She's a Florida State Seminole fan and I'm a Miami Hurricane fan. The food was simply fantastic, both of our steaks were cooked to perfection. They even satisfied my wife and when it comes to steaks, she's hard to please. The place is very classy looking and we will be back.
