Santa will be here spreading Christmas cheer at his Grotto on the Corner, giving the perfect opportunity for a festive photo op and his elf helpers will even be handing out presents to those on the 'nice list'. When: 1st, 8th, 15th, 24th December Time: 9am, 9:30am, 10am or 10.30am What's included...? Children: £12 for a soft drink, Brunch dish, present, and a meet with Santa and his elves! Was in for lunch with 4 friends, booked for 1pm. It wasn't overly busy however we did wait awhile for our food order to be taken. When our drinks order was taken one friend sked the male server what came with the pate (I.e toast or oatcakes) was told that it was a new menu and e would go ask, somw 15 mins later we called someone another member of staff if we could order, the female server was asked what came with the pate but we got same reply, they did go and ask and advise that it was toast. One friend asked for long vodka (without the vodka) it came back with tonic and with a very small dashboard of lime cordial no bitter lime so it was rreturned. Ther server them came back to advise that there was no more lime cordial. We settled for lemonade and bitter. The food itself was lovely but the sevice was not the best on this occasion.

Quite surprised as have eaten several times but vegetables and potatoes were lukewarm at best. Also had to approach staff for dessert menus. We had invited another couple last night and had enthused how great it was left feeling rather let down. Main waitress that served us was superb but when she was busy elsewhere felt other staff were disinterested.

The burger was very greasy, cheese oily and this mixed in with the sauce and tomatoes made the buns saturated. I asked for bacon to be well done and it was very fatty and undercooked. The waitress also mentioned the burgers took a bit longer because the first ones to come up from the kitchen were undercooked. The waitress kindly brought me a new burger but I was so put off I couldn’t eat it. I don’t think the buns are good enough quality or big enough to contain the 2 burgers and everything in it. No issues with service but very disappointed with the food.

Fantastic service wasn’t over crowded either and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially our waitress that evening, nice selection of food to choose from also and I will definitely be coming back here again to eat.

My fish and chips, a basic meal for a restaurant was poor. The fish batter was oily and undercooked and the chips, once returned were both warm.

Lovely- my only quibble is that we had hoped for the boozy brunch, and didn’t realise that we had to book in advance. It should be made more obvious on the website. Otherwise lovely ambience and service, I’ve been many times and will come back.

I visited a few years ago and had a really great experience. It was the first time I had tried the Baltic IPA, which I really enjoyed. The service and food was also great. My partner and I were looking for somewhere to go for dinner, and I remembered my previous experience. We had our dog with us, so I called to check if they were dog-friendly, and the reaction was great (we love dogs and look forward to meeting him). In short, our experience again was amazing, from all the team members to the people we met there. Oli our dog was made to feel so welcome too. The food was great, as were the beers. My partner and I both had a great experience, as did Oli. We will definitely be back...
