The Tavern on the Square at McMenamins Anderson School is open daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner and later-on. This Northwest-style café offers comfortable sophistication, making it an ideal spot to meet up and enjoy house-made specialties, such as brioche and desserts.

You'll see seasonal offerings, fresh fish and local produce on the menus here, ranging from Seared King Salmon to Filet Mignon.

Dining options pair well with our handcrafted coffee, ales, cider, wine and spirits-offering upscale classics and modern inventions.

Looking to host a birthday, anniversary, holiday, corporate, or celebratory event at Tavern on the Square? The Erma Olin room is the perfect destination for any type of gathering for groups ranging anywhere between 12-20 people. We have limited availability in our dining room for parties larger than 5. Please note that these often book up far in advance. Large party reservation slots are available prior to 5:30pm and after 7:30pm. We have greater availability for large party reservations Sunday through Thursday so please let us know if alternate dates would suffice.

The best part about our Christmas breakfast was sitting near the fireplace on a chilly morning, and the excellent service we received. The food was ok, not exceptional, We had the eggs benedict and one of us had the McMenamin's two egg breakfast. There was an overpowering smell of woodsmoke from outside (not the fireplace), and the music playing was Italian Opera played way too loudly.

Great ambiance and food! The only problem and not necessarily our server but it took FOREVER to get our food, and there were only 4 of us. But during the wait our server didn’t ask if we wanted additional drinks, we needed to flag them down to ask for another drink.

The ribeye and pork chop special were excellent. We brought two older ladies celebrating their birthdays, one 101 yrs, one 89. Service was slow, especially after main dish arrived. Our server never brought our requested coffees and finally hunted her down so we could pay and leave

Holy terrible. Waited 45 minutes and still didn’t receive food. Have been here a couple dozen times but this was our last. Mcminnamons has been really falling apart which is a shame. There’s a ton of potential in Bothell but I guess they think there’s no completion. I look forward to them failing in the next few years.

Our dinner was delicious, and our server was the best! I especially enjoyed my "Water Lily" drink. The ambiance was perfect for our Thanksgiving dinner.

Another fabulous holiday meal, they really do a great job. Delicious food, fabulous wine and the best cobbler I've ever had. Excellent service!

In spite of having a reservation at 9am, food didn’t arrive until almost 10:30am. No heads up that there would be a long wait. Party of 5 ordering basic omelette breakfasts. There is no justification for this, but it’s clear this business is running on a skeleton crew and pretending it’s normal. Guest sitting outside get much less attention than those indoors. These wait times are common, including at the Woodshop as well. As a local who loved this place, it’s maddening to have to book 2 solid hours of my day to get what should be a quick bite. I wonder if it would be different if I ordered take-out and just sat on the patio to eat it.
