Medicine was born out of a discovery of abandoned space, of new possibilities and an inquisitive quality for creating something vital and diverse. An artisan bakery and kitchen, café and gallery, which is rooted in its heritage in both Birmingham and Wolverhampton, Medicine represents a new format of social space. It finds its niche through a carefully curated menu of ethical products, whilst offering a daily fix of cultural inspiration in an environment which promotes a debate about art and culture. Amazing baked goods. The food was excellent. Unique vibe. The service was unfortunately quite slack and one of us was brought the wrong food. It was taken away but only the wrong item, leaving the correct dish to go cold by the time the other dish was brought over. Then we had to ask twice for the bill.

I am sorry the service was not up to scratch, i will be investigating further, to ensure when mistakes happen, they are dealt with quickly and correctly. Just lovely food and friendly service. Was very busy so the drinks took a while to come out but it was totally acceptable given how busy it was.

Service very extremely very slow . I had booked a table for 12pm . we were put at the end of a table that another part of 5 were seated. I would have expected a table for two I booked in advanced.

Hi Bal, Thank you for taking time to share your feedback. Unfortunately, New Street is a community cafe with many sharing tables, so can not guarantee single tables. Please in future, you could pop a note on your booking and the team will accommodate whenever possible or visit The Mailbox, where the restaurant is set up with individual tables. We visited here for the first time this weekend. The food was delicious, lovely attentive staff and gorgeous surroundings. I just wish they had better toilets..!

Food was delicious and came out quickly despite it being very busy! Would definitely book in advance, especially on weekends, as there was a bit of a queue. French toast was amazing - would recommend!

Been previously and really enjoyed the food but this time was not up to previous standards. Some of the food was okay, but the fried chicken french toast was gristly with parts that looked undercooked. When we spoke to the waiter, he explained to me that it was chicken thigh and was ‘meant to be like this’, despite having discolouration and looking not right. I’ve had chicken thigh before but this one didn’t sit right with me and put me off the rest of my food. We paid regardless, but the waiter came over to me multiple times discussing the chicken despite it already being paid for, insinuating that I was wrong to have been put off by it.

Had a bit of a wait for a booked table, which wasn't great as we were were booked at theatre. Crowded waiting area on entry and were pushed out despite saying a table had been booked. Managed to get to the table seating area and told them about booking Kept being told 'yes yes we'll find you'. Could see they were trying to juggle reservations and those queuing to get in. Looked flustered. After we were seated the service and food was good. Just needs more structure at front desk to provide a great experience.
