Great service and food. You can never go wrong here. The only negative is that the tables are permanently affixed to the floor. They squish you against the wall if you are an average or above person.

The mezze dishes were all amazing! 2 dishes per person was about right, dont skip the carrots!

Creative, beautiful, fresh, textural, flavorful food- an elevated offering with great service. We are particularly smitten with the radicchio salad, humus with crispy lamb, pita, and brussels sprouts. This time we went all out and had dessert. The Black Sesame Mousse was divine.

A good friend recommended Mediterranean Exploration Company, and we were not disappointed. When we showed for our reservation (45 minutes early), we were promptly seated with a smile. Our server was amazing with great suggestions and was very attentive. The food was amazing!!

A must for anyone in the Pearl District! The mushrooms with lentils are delicious and will have me craving this dish for weeks. Crispy lamb hummus is the best that I have ever tasted!

MEC is our go-to spot when we want a nice meal for a special celebration (like my recent birthday). We can count on the food being spectacular, and the service is some of the best in Portland. I love that no matter what night of the week it is, it feels lively and festive at MEC.

The service was amazing and the vibe was great. All the plates are shareable, but felt like the food was missing something we got quite a few dishes and I still walked away a little hungry. The challah was not very toasted and the meat was underdone. Willing to go back and try new dishes, but definitely look at the menu ahead of time. Liked the black sesame mouse desert a bunch!

We had a delicious meal. We were careful not to order too much (a past failing). The two of us split the Labne with Fried Artichokes, honey-drenched dates and a harissa vinegarette to open the meal. Then came the grilled octopus leg with dill and olive oil (and probably some other deliciousness). We moved on to a spinach cheese boureka and a strong finish with a pair of grilled lamb chops. A homemade ginger soda and a fancy little tequila cocktail along the way and we finished with Moroccan mint tea. By restraining ourselves, we have lots more to try next time we are down here in Portland.
