The Med Restaurant is one of Saint John's oldest restaurants, serving hungry guests since 1971.
Since then, the restaurant has gone through many changes and improvements along the way.
Chef Christos (second generation) and his team are proud to prepare Greek and continental dishes, using fresh and wholesome ingredients as well as the finest imported products (extra virgin olive oil, oregano, etc.) from Greece and creating everything from scratch. Our products are also sold in our store, Theo's Fine Foods, located in the same building, next to the Med.
Our dining room is bright and airy, with a modern Greek flare, in a relaxed and casual atmosphere.
We welcome you and look forward to serving you in the future!

We ordered the lamb souvlaki dinners and they were OK. The portions were very generous with two skewers of lamb, potatoes, rice, and salad. The plates were so full that it was difficult to eat without getting rice on the table. The lamb was tasty as was the tazatziki. The Greek salad was OK, but I was hoping for a more traditional Greek dressing (oil, vinegar, lemon juice & oregano), instead it was a creamier dressing that lacked the flavour I was expecting. The rice was also a bit unusual, or at least not what I am used to. I think that the restaurant is trying to cater to a wide variety of tastes given that in addition to the Greek receipes that I was looking foward to, they also had Italian dishes (lasagna, spaghetti), Thai curries, and even fish and chips. If you are looking for a more traditional Greek trattoria, I wouldn't recommend this.

The Med and Splash are 2 excellent restaurants. There have been some negative comments on Facebook recently. I’m here to tell you ignore those negative comments and give these restaurants a try. I promise you you won’t be disappointed. My family and I dine there on a regular basis. And we were there just last night a few days after they unfairly imposed temporary closure. The food was excellent. The service was excellent and Chris and John run twofirst class establishments. Stop by for lunch or dinner. Plan your Christmas party you won’t be disappointed.

As always, the food was heavenly delicious (some say it was so good, it should be outlawed :)), Lori was an outstanding and super helpful waitress and the whole dinner experience unforgettable. Thank you Dariusz

I ordered the chefs sampler dish, it was tasty but over cooked My friend ordered the stir fry and asked for no mushrooms as she has in the past, it came out with mushrooms and when we informed the waitress she replied the veggies were pre cut and they did try to remove some but obviously didn’t do a good job, she should have let us know when we ordered, as she would have ordered something else
