This was a completely underwhelming experience. Granted we were used to the old model and did look at the menu ahead of time so we knew it wouldn't be the same so we weren't totally surprised but still expected more.
On Valentine's Day it was fairly empty which should've been a sign. We weren't in formal wear, but still nicely dressed. It was clear we were on a date and, given only two other booths were occupied, I can't figure out why the hostess would seat us next to the bathroom and kitchen opening. It was loud and people waiting for the bathroom absolutely killed any sort of nice date vibe. The booths on that side of the restaurant are like fast food slide in plastic booths. They had a different cozier style on the other side but weren't seating those. The hostess also apparently forgot to tell the wait staff we were there so we waited a good amount of time to even be acknowledged. The staff here comes across young and inexperienced.
Our waitress was very nice and apologetic. She was also pretty attentive and one of the best things about the night.
The menu is absolutely gutted, it's like a Chili's took it over. You can still get cheese and chocolate dips, but their little cast-iron pots are the size of chafing dishes propped up on a little sterno. Everything did taste very good though. We got a basic cheddar cheese "fondue" with some of the protein add-ons and it was delicious and came out really quickly. We also got side salads that we both really liked. The cocktails were also nice, but we missed some of the regular favorites offered on their old menus. The dessert fondue was super rich and we kind of appreciated the smaller size on that one.
I gave three stars because we were really disappointed in the experience overall, but our waitress was good and we did like the food and drinks we got.
