    Given the reviews we were expecting a fabulous dinner for my husband’s birthday and drove 30 miles for the experience. The meat cuts were very good but they were not cooked to our requested doneness. All salads and side dishes were truly mediocre. The host was unaccommodating and rude and our waiter was nice but very inattentive and left us sitting most of the time. Our bill for 5 of us was $950 and we brought our own wine. Definitely not the legendary restaurant we had hoped for.

    it was nothing to write home to your mother about. Just very basic food. Not impressive at all. we ordered the chicken pot pie, steak Diane, loaded, mashed potatoes, broccoli, asparagus, carrots, beets and beef Wellington. Didn’t give that, “wow” that Copley’s gives after every bite. Hollywood still shows up. Our table was next to Lance Bass, his husband Michael, Randy Sage, Bridger Scott, Zach Huntley and others…Literally look like regrouping of a boy band. But again, I wouldn’t recommend anybody the food just wasn’t impressive.

    Melvyn’s always has great ambience. However I think that the thanksgiving dinner was a bit much for them to handle.

    I tried the escargot and did not like it. Unusual preparation. Sea Bass OK but nothing special. Had the filet the night before with blue cheese crust and loaded baked potato both highly recommended.

    It's disappointing, as the old Melvyn's charm is gone. If you enjoy lackluster service, no attention to detail, t shirts, baseball caps, and lack of management, it's the place to go and throw away $150 per person and to top it off, a $25+ wellness charge added to the check! Bring your flashlight and magnifying glass to ready the menu, we believe the small font so they don't want it easy for you to read the menu and see that a wedge salad is now $20 or French fries are $14. I could go on and on, but why bother. There are so many choices, and that's our 2 cents.
