Enjoy one of our new cocktails and dine on our seasonal menus or cozy up to the fireplace with a glass of wine. 'Smores by the firepits are a continued favorite for all ages!

Daily breakfast and weekend brunch are even more special with friends and family. Treat your favorite client or coworker to lunch or enjoy a romantic dinner with a loved one in the dining room. Come find out why our guests have voted us best American restaurant on the peninsula!

Join us for Tavern Time, our daily Happy Hour from 3-5PM. And don’t forget about holidays! Reservations fill quickly for holiday celebrations, so be sure to plan ahead.

Reservations are available here for groups of up to six guests. For parties of more than 10 guests, please contact the Menlo Tavern directly at (650) 330-2794.

                                                        Girls night & we sat next to the fireplace in the bar (toasty). The roasted beet & burrata appetizer was awesome & the Tuesday special Pot Pies were amazing. Our server/bartender Oscar was very attentive & made our night complete!

                                                        We really enjoyed the ambiance and atmosphere at the bar. We had a good dining experience as we were seated at a nice table. Had a manhattan cocktail and it was good. Friendly and attentive staff. They had a varied menu but the taste was not up to expectations. Overall we still had a good time.

                                                        Beautiful location! Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. - Despite arriving with a reservation, the hostess seated us on the outskirts of the bar away from the main dining room. The table was situated next to the outdoor courtyard doors, and we were treated to a blast of frigid air each time a hotel guest walked out. We relocated. - The food looked great! However, my burger was undercooked, flatbread greasy, scallops cold and beet salad rubbery. - Service was pleasant and quick. However, our waiter never checked our status after delivering the food. - Nitpicking/eye-roll critique: Lighting in the dining area was too bright. It felt like a 2 AM run to Mel’s Diner. Dining table chairs felt great, but belong in a library…soft leather with cushions that collapse and hug the thighs. In fact, the cushions sunk so low, that the table came up to my sternum… just like the kids’ table. In the spirit of the AI zeitgeist, this place earns top marks for appearance. However, it lacks the empathy and character of what a human diner would want.

                                                        Nice place. Elegant and the staff were all welcoming courteous professional and friendly including the bartender We had the octopus and meatball for appetizers rack of lamb and the Wagyu beef steak especially . Everything was good except the Wagyu beef steak. Wagyu beef is supposed to be soft and melts in your mouth. This one didn’t. Hard to slice and we ordered medium rare. Dessert proliferates was good. Service from our server great but she forgot to give us plates though she knew we were sharing. Apart from that she was great and friendly. Good experience over all.
