They had a nice selection of items for brunch. The food was very good overall, although the salmon was a tiny bit mushy. The Lemon Brule was excellent. The service was excellent, attentive without being smothering, and the ambiance was also excellent. There were not many other diners when we were there, not sure how noisy it would be if it were full, but it was nice and quiet for our visit. Prices are on the high side, but we will definitely be back when we want a special occasion meal.

We had a nice NewYearsEve dinner -- four old people in one of the booths. Service was efficient and professional; the food was ample and good. The salmon main was enjoyed by two of us. The rack of lamb featured three ribfulls, but was red-pink throughout. Waiter had asked how I wanted it and I'd said "not rare, more like medium" and what I got was (for my tastes) rare. The desert affogatos were perfect and the lemon sorbetto looked good and was much appreciated.

We discovered Menlo Tavern during a stay at The Stanford Park Hotel in 2020, and it has become a regular part of our holiday routine. The food is fantastic—delicious and unpretentious. We started with the artisan sourdough bread, served with butter and maldon sea salt, which was the perfect way to begin. For mains, we enjoyed the Lacinato Kale, the Sonoma Rack of Lamb with Moroccan spices (absolutely mouthwatering!), and the Cajun prawn fettuccine, which was rich and flavorful. Every dish exceeded expectations. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, adding to the relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Menlo Tavern is the ideal setting for a holiday get-together—cozy, welcoming, and filled with great food. We had an unforgettable evening and will definitely be back!
